Perched at 2,000 metres above sea level in Urrao, Antioquia, El Bosque is a family-run farm committed to quality, sustainability, and social impact. Under the guidance of Edgar León Moreno González, a certified Q Grader and coffee expert, the farm has flourished from just 700 trees in 2015 to over 14,200 today.
El Bosque is recognised for both its high-quality washed Caturra and its empowering approach to employment. Women heads of households make up 80% of the harvesting team, contributing with skill and care. Edgar’s deep roots in coffee and his work with the Cooperativa de Caficultores de Salgar have shaped the farm’s success and community focus. His dream is to ensure the farm supports his daughters’ education while remaining a force for good in the region.
